A little help, whenever you need it
How Worlderous works
Pick one thing you want to make. Follow the steps, then get back to your story. You don't need to fill in every field.

Start writing
A project and your first page. That's enough to begin.
Create your first projectOpen a writing space with a name and a place to save your work.
What you needA project name and a completed storage setup. The setup screen shows the account connection it needs.
- Choose New Project on the home page and enter your project name.
Open Create new project. Enter your project name here. - Choose Local, Google, or Hybrid storage. Local uses a folder on your device; Google creates files in your Drive; Hybrid sets up both.
Choose where your project will be saved. - Follow the selected setup. Sign in if asked, and choose a folder yourself for local storage. For Google, let Worlderous finish creating its folder, Doc, and Mythos Sheet.
- When the studio opens, check the project name and storage status. You can start writing now.

Write and save your first pagePut the first paragraph on the page without preparing a whole world first.
What you needAn open chapter and connected project storage.
- Open your project and select its first chapter.
Chapters → Create adds a new chapter. - Click the manuscript page and write a paragraph. Use Enter to start a new paragraph.
- Use Save and check the storage feedback. If a remote conflict appears, review the versions before choosing what to keep.
The Save button is in the manuscript toolbar.

Build your world with Mythos
Keep the people, places, and details your story needs right now.
Start a world with one ideaMake a World entry you can build on later.
What you needName. A short summary is useful, but a complete setting is not required.
- Open Mythos, then World. Open New atlas record and select World.
New atlas record → World. - Enter a Name. Add a short Summary if it helps explain the setting.
Name is required. A short Summary helps; the rest can wait. - Leave the other fields blank and choose Save World. Look for the saved entry in the atlas list.
Save world is at the bottom of the entry.

Meet your first characterCreate a useful character card with only a few details.
What you needName. Summary and Role are helpful starting points.
- Open Characters in Mythos and choose the add-character action.
Characters → New manually. - Enter the Name. Add a short Summary or Role so you remember what they do in the story.
Start with the Name field. - Save the character and open the finished card. You can leave the biography fields empty.
Save the character when the essentials are ready.

Add a place inside your worldConnect a location to its World.
What you needName and World. This is a Worlderous location requirement, not an extra Readerous requirement.
- In Mythos → World, use the + beside your world and choose Location. You can also choose Location from Add atlas entry.
New atlas record → Location. - Enter the Name and check the required World field. Adding from an existing world fills that relationship for you.
Give the place a Name. Choose the World this location belongs to. - Add one useful detail in Summary, save the location, and look for it beneath its world.

Keep one useful piece of loreRecord a world rule you want to remember while writing.
What you needAn existing World entry. The rule is a useful detail you choose to add.
- Reopen your World entry in Mythos.
- Find Governing rules and add one clear sentence about how this world works.
Governing rules is inside the World entry. - Save, then check the detail in the same entry. Keep other setting fields empty if you do not need them yet.

Connect two charactersGive two character cards a shared relationship.
What you needTwo existing characters. A relationship type makes the connection easier to understand.
- Create both characters, then open one character's Relationships section.
Find Add relationship below the character's details. - Choose Add relationship and select the other character. Add a type, such as friend or rival.
Choose the other character and a relationship type. - Save the relationship. Use Open on its card to jump to the other character.
Create relationship saves this connection.

Come back and add one detailUpdate a character when you learn something new about them.
What you needOnly the detail you want to change. A location link needs an existing location.
- Open an existing character card. Choose one detail you now know, such as Voice notes.
- Add a sentence and save. Or set Current location to a location you already created.
Voice notes is one optional detail you can return to later. - Reopen the saved detail to check it. Continue writing without filling the remaining sections.

What you needSpeakers and message text. You can start with the existing episode and scene.
- Open Chatfic Studio from your project. Open the character manager to name your speakers; add another character through Create if needed.
Characters opens the speaker manager. - Write the first message. Choose Add message and select the next speaker, then write a reply.
Add message is below the conversation. - Choose Reader preview to see the exchange. Return to Edit whenever you want to change it.
Reader preview is beside Edit at the top of the phone.
What you'll seeYour messages appear with their chosen senders. This preview stays in Worlderous; it is not a Readerous transfer.
Give the conversation a new beatShow a time change with a scene divider.
What you needA divider and its short text.
- In Chatfic Edit, add a story element or change a message's type to Scene divider.
Use the message type menu to choose Scene divider. - Enter a short transition, such as Two hours later. A divider does not need a speaker.
- Open Reader preview and check the divider's position between messages.
Check the result in Reader preview.
What you'll seeA clear pause or time change in the reader presentation.
Make a Visual Novel
One scene first. Choices and new paths when you're ready.
Build one Visual Novel momentCreate a readable scene and inspect its stage.

What you needA scene with a text cue; Dialogue also needs its speaker. A background helps the atmosphere but is not a reason to delay starting.
- Open Visual Novel Studio. Select or create a scene, then work in its Frame.
Choose the scene above; add a Frame from the content panel. - Add a short Narration cue, or use Dialogue and choose its character. Keep the first moment simple.
In Timeline, Narration adds a text cue. - If you have an image you can use, add it as a background and assign it to the scene. Then open Preview.
Background adds optional scenery. Preview switches to the reader's view. - Check that the text is readable. Try the Phone preview to see how the same moment fits a smaller screen.

Let the reader choose a pathConnect a choice to another scene and test the route.

What you needChoice labels, valid destination scenes, and the intended starting scene.
- Create and name the destination scenes before connecting the choices.
Select the scene you want to connect. - Add a Choice cue to the opening scene. Give each option a short label and select the scene it leads to.
Add final choice starts the branch. - Open Routes to inspect the Decision map. Resolve missing targets and other issues it reports.
Routes opens the Decision map. - Use Play full story, start the story, and try a choice. Check that it reaches the intended scene.
Play full story lets you test the choices.
What you'll seeA choice that takes the reader somewhere different. Gameplay preview is still inside Worlderous.
Take it to Readerous
Prepare what readers need, then check the actual transfer result.
Know what Readerous needsPrepare the publishing details without completing every Mythos field.
What you needA linked writer account, the required publishing details, and your approved content. Prose and Chatfic need at least one chapter or episode. Visual Novel needs its approved playable project. The panel shows remaining requirements; fanworks have extra metadata and terms.
- Open Publish and the Readerous transfer panel. Connect your Readerous writer account if it is not linked yet.
Publish opens the Readerous panel. - Choose the experience and scope. Novel sends a full book; Serial sends selected chapters. Chatfic and Visual Novel use their own approved packages.
Review the title and description before sending. - Add the title, reader-facing description, and language. Choose 3–12 distinct discovery tags; the first is the primary genre. Romance tags also require a romance classification.
Add the required discovery tags here. - Choose a major-warning option, including No major warnings apply or Creator chose not to warn when appropriate. Review the edition and content approvals.

Send your story and check the resultComplete a transfer and find the actual work in Readerous.

What you needThe requirements in the previous guide, plus your explicit approval of the selected transfer content.
- In the Readerous panel, review the selected format, chapters or project package, and edition details.
Select the format you are sending. - If you include Story Archive or other optional material, review exactly what readers will receive. Approve the selected content.
Approve only the content you have reviewed. - Send and wait for confirmation. If it fails, read the error and retry only after checking the problem.
Send edition becomes available when the requirements are met. - Open the Readerous destination provided after success. Check the title, edition, and transferred content there before taking the next publishing step.
What you'll seeThe transferred work is visible in your Readerous workspace, ready for review.
